Beyond the Green Line – Famagusta

Experience a full-day Jeep tour exploring eastern Cyprus with a unique adventure. Start with a the crossing point and enter the northern part of the island, which has been under Turkish occupation since 1974. Drive along the "ghost town" - a sealed-off area where entry is forbidden and arrive at the only accessible section of Varosha. A walk through the abandoned city and down to to the stunning sandy beach. Then, the next stop is the ancient city-kingdom of Salamis, where an optional wander among the majestic ruins is possible. Afterward, a visit to the tomb of Saint Barnabas, the Apostle who brought Christianity to Cyprus. The excursion concludes in Famagusta, surrounded by impressive Venetian walls.
