Program Description
Green mountains, deep ravines and a secluded beach nestled beneath dramatic cliffs - the Antequera area is one of Tenerife's most picturesque destinations. During this trip, you'll hike along the mountain trails of Anaga Rural Park, relax by the ocean and return by boat along the rugged coastline. It's a perfect combination of outdoor adventure and nature!
Your adventure will begin in Anaga Rural Park, located in the north-east of Tenerife. This remarkable area, part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is known for its lush forests, steep slopes and deep ravines. During an approximately two-hour guided hike, you'll follow scenic trails, admire the mountain landscapes and discover the region's rich natural heritage.
Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into the history, culture and geology of Anaga. You'll learn how the landscape was formed and what makes this part of the island so distinctive. Towering peaks, deep valleys and rocky slopes will provide a spectacular backdrop to your hiking adventure.
The destination of your hike will be Antequera Beach, tucked away at the foot of the cliffs, far from the popular tourist resorts. With limited access, this peaceful spot has retained much of its natural charm. Once you reach the beach, you'll have free time to relax, enjoy your snacks and admire the scenery. You can also take a refreshing swim in the Atlantic Ocean, weather and sea conditions permitting.
To round off the trip, you'll enjoy a boat trip to San Andrés. During the journey, you'll see the impressive Anaga cliffs rising above the Atlantic. The rugged coastline, steep slopes and sweeping ocean views provide a wonderful finale to a day spent surrounded by nature.
Hiking to Antequera and returning by boat is an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys exploring new places on foot and wants to combine a mountain adventure with some relaxation on one of Tenerife's secluded beaches.
