Program Description

Start a captivating journey through the heart of Oman's cultural and historical treasures, beginning with a visit to Barka’s lively fish market, where the daily bustle of fishermen offers a glimpse into vibrant local life. From there, travel to Nakhl to stop at the Bait Al Ghasham House, which belonged to the Al Busaidi dynasty 200 years ago. Today, it is a beautiful museum that preserves and showcases the region’s rich heritage (optional entry, additional cost may apply). Enjoy scenic views of palm plantations along the way to Nakhl. Upon arrival, take the opportunity to experience the warm waters of Thowara Spring and explore Oman’s highest fort. Next, follow the mountain-lined road to Rustaq to visit its ancient fort, steeped in history, and the Al Kisfr Hot Spring. Finally, head across the gravel plains to admire the 18th-century Islamic architecture of Al Hazm Castle and its impressive collection of restored cannons.
